To prevent lateral tearing of an underpants type absorbent article.SOLUTION: At least one of an abdominal side part or a back side part of an exterior body has: a first folding part in which an end part in a longitudinal direction of the exterior body is folded back in the longitudinal direction from a waist opening part; a second folding part in which an end part in the longitudinal direction of the first folding part is folded back in the longitudinal direction toward the waist opening part, and which is overlapped on a part of the first folding part; and a folding end part serving as a boundary between the first folding part and the second folding part. At least one of a pair of side connection parts has: a plurality of seal parts each including an inner end part as an end part close to a center in a lateral direction of the exterior body, and an outer end part as an end part separated from the center in the lateral direction of the exterior body, extending in the lateral direction, and arranged separately in the longitudinal direction; and a connection strength lowering agent arranged between thermoplastic sheets and linearly extending.
