To provide a power conversion device capable of further simply performing an inspection of a protection circuit.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a power conversion device comprising: a main circuit unit that includes a converter device and performs conversion of electric power via operation of the converter device; a control device that controls the operation of the main circuit unit; and a protection circuit that performs detection of an abnormality of the converter device and protects the converter device by performing a protective operation in accordance with the detection of the abnormality.
