To insert partition paper at a position intended by a user, while simplifying settings related to insert processing.SOLUTION: During execution of a print job involving insert processing, a control unit causes an image reading device to perform reading of partition paper at a reading position, detects insertion page information from image data of the partition paper, and determines timing to feed the partition paper based on the insertion page information.
