To provide an information processing method and the like that can present the amount of reduction in the emission of carbon dioxide through the use of a battery.SOLUTION: A computer acquires the amount of emission of CO2 (carbon dioxide) in manufacturing a vehicle in which an on-board battery is mounted. The computer calculates the difference between the acquired amount of emission of CO2 and the amount of emission of CO2 in manufacturing an engine vehicle in which an engine for a vehicle is mounted, and defines the difference as an initial value of the amount of lifecycle emission of CO2 for the on-board battery.
