Zusammenfassung:	To reduce a manufacturing cost of an outboard engine by simplifying a configuration of the outboard engine.SOLUTION: An engine cover 16 of an outboard engine has an upper cover 34 and a lower cover 36 capable of splitting vertically. A fixing belt 48 capable of fixing the upper cover 34 and the lower cover 36 together is attached to the rear end of the engine cover 16. The upper cover 34 has a belt holding part 46 to hold the fixing belt 48. The belt holding part 46 comprises a holding frame 54 forming a belt insertion hole 64. A head part 68 of the fixing belt 48 has a pair of abutting parts 781 and 782 abutting against an upper surface 60 of a pair of first frame parts 561 and 562 in the holding frame 54.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【課題】船外機の構成を簡素化することで、船外機の製造コストを削減すること。【解決手段】船外機のエンジンカバー１６は、上下に分割可能な上カバー３４及び下カバー３６を有する。エンジンカバー１６の後端には、上カバー３４と下カバー３６とを互いに固定可能な固定ベルト４８が取り付けられる。上カバー３４は、固定ベルト４８を保持するベルト保持部４６を有する。ベルト保持部４６は、ベルト挿通孔６４を形成する保持枠５４とを備える。固定ベルト４８のヘッド部６８は、保持枠５４における一対の第１枠部５６１、５６２の上面６０に当接する一対の当接部７８１、７８２を有する。【選択図】図４
