ON-VEHICLE INFORMATION APPLIANCE AND METHOD FOR ASSISTING INSERTION/EXTRACTION OF MEMORY MEDIUM

To provide an on-vehicle information appliance that enables a user to quickly recognize a position of a memory medium insertion/extraction port.SOLUTION: An on-vehicle information appliance 10 comprises a memory medium insertion/extraction port 12, an operation detecting part 14 that detects operation by a user, and a display control part 11 that displays an image on a screen of a display device 21. The operation detecting part 14 determines whether pre-operation which should be performed before a memory medium is inserted into and extracted from the memory medium insertion/extraction port 12 has been performed or not.
