To reduce a possibility of contact of a medium suctioned and transported with an image formation part in a transport device.SOLUTION: A transport device 1 is disposed so as to face an inkjet head 110 (one example of an image formation part) for forming an image on a medium M and transports the medium M while suctioning the medium M. The transport device 1 includes a transport surface S having a suction area A1 where the medium M is suctioned and a non-suction area A2 where the medium M is not suctioned.
