Zusammenfassung:To provide a wire feeding system and a wire feeding method which can suppress service life of components such as a chip and a motor from being shortened.SOLUTION: A wire feeding system 1 comprises: a wire feeding part 10 that feeds a welding wire 4; a wire feeding control part 20 that controls the wire feeding part 10 so that forward feeding that feeds the welding wire 4 in a forward direction which is a direction of a base material or forward and reverse feeding that repeatedly feeds the welding wire 4 in the forward direction and in the reverse direction is performed; and a sensing part 30 that senses whether arc starts or not in slow-down control by which the welding wire 4 is fed in the forward direction in order to generate arc. The wire feeding control part 20, when the sensing part 30 senses that the arc does not start, controls the wire feeding part 10 so that the forward and reverse feeding is performed, while keeping on applying voltages for generating arc.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】チップやモータ等の部品の寿命が短くなることを軽減するワイヤ送給システム及びワイヤ送給方法を提供することである。【解決手段】ワイヤ送給システム1は、溶接ワイヤ4を送給するワイヤ送給部10と、母材の方向である正方向に溶接ワイヤ4を送給する正送給、又は正方向と逆方向とに繰り返して溶接ワイヤ4を送給する正逆送給を行うように、ワイヤ送給部10を制御するワイヤ送給制御部20と、アークを発生させるために溶接ワイヤ4を正送給するスローダウン制御において、アークが開始するか否かを検知する検知部30と、を備え、ワイヤ送給制御部20は、検知部30によってアークが開始しないことが検知された場合には、アークを発生させるための電圧印加を継続しつつ正逆送給を行うようにワイヤ送給部10を制御する。【選択図】図2
