To provide an absorbent article that has a front sheet predominantly composed of water-holding fibers, and can reduce wrinkles to prevent the leakage of liquid excretion.SOLUTION: An absorbent article has a front sheet, a back sheet and an absorber. The absorbent article has an annular emboss part, a first independent emboss part and a second independent emboss part, a first folding part and a second folding part. The annular emboss part is disposed across a front region, an intermediate region and a back region, the annular emboss part formed by the compression of the front sheet and the absorber. The first independent emboss part and the second independent emboss part are disposed behind the annular emboss part. The first folding part and the second folding part are disposed in the back region, in this order from the back side to the front side, where the first folding part and the second folding part serve as a starting point for folding the absorbent article and extend in the lateral direction. The annular emboss part lies in the back region between the first folding part and the second folding part.
