Zusammenfassung:To provide a technique that allows water-absorbing polymers to be uniformly dispersed in a direction (CD) orthogonal to a flow direction (MD) in production of an absorber.SOLUTION: A method for producing an absorber includes the steps of supplying a water-absorbing polymer P into a duct 5 through a polymer supply pipe 7, which communicates between the inside and the outside the duct 5, making the water-absorbing polymer P merge with an airflow flowing in one direction AF inside the duct 5 while containing a fibrous material F, and causing the fibrous material F and the water-absorbing polymer P carried on the airflow to accumulate at an accumulation part 40 under conveyance in a predetermined conveyance direction MD. In order that the direction of supply PD of the water-absorbing polymer P into the duct 5 has an angle θ relative to the direction of conveyance FD of the fibrous material F at a merging position of the water-absorbing polymer P, the water-absorbing polymer P is conveyed to the merging position while carried on a circulating airflow SF that circulates inside the polymer supply pipe 7 around its axial direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】吸収体製造時の流れ方向(MD)に直交する方向(CD)に吸水性ポリマーを均一に分散させることができる技術を提供すること。【解決手段】本発明の吸収体の製造方法は、ダクト5の内外を連通するポリマー供給管7を介してダクト5の内部に吸水性ポリマーPを供給し、繊維材料Fを含んだ状態でダクト5の内部を一方向AFに流れる空気流に合流させ、該空気流に載せて搬送した繊維材料F及び吸水性ポリマーPを、所定の搬送方向MDに搬送中の集積部40に集積させる工程を有する。吸水性ポリマーPのダクト5の内部への供給方向PDが、吸水性ポリマーPの合流位置での繊維材料Fの搬送方向FDに対して角度θを有するように、吸水性ポリマーPを、ポリマー供給管7の内部をその軸方向周りに旋回する旋回空気流SFに載せて前記合流位置まで搬送する。【選択図】図3
