Zusammenfassung:To provide a liquid sensor capable of detecting a state of a liquid with higher accuracy, and also to provide a manufacturing method of a liquid sensor.SOLUTION: A liquid sensor includes a light emitter, an optical waveguide, a photo detector configured to receive light emitted from the light emitter via the optical waveguide, a detection circuit configured to detect an output of the photo detector and accommodation housing integrally formed with the optical waveguide and having an accommodation recess accommodating the light emitter and the photo detector. The optical waveguide includes a first pillar part extending straight, and a second pillar part extending straight and disposed at a location facing the first pillar part interposing a space where a liquid is located. The first pillar part includes a first end face facing the light emitter inside the accommodation housing and a second end face slanted with regard to the first end face and configured to reflect light toward the second pillar part.
