Zusammenfassung:	To provide a novel structure that suppresses a laser beam that is emitted to sides of a light emitting device.SOLUTION: A light emitting device 10 includes: a substrate 12; a light source 14 on the substrate, the light source emitting a laser beam; a frame part 12c surrounding the light source; a cover member 16 covering an upper opening 12d of the frame part, the cover member transmitting a laser beam; and a connection member 18 for joining the frame part 12c and the cover member 16 to each other.
