The power transmission device comprises a power supply part and a first electrode pair. The power supply part supplies an AC power to the first electrode pair. The first electrode pair includes a plate-like first electrode and a plate-like second electrode which is opposite in parallel with an interval from the first electrode, and transmits the AC power to the second electrode pair by a radio power transmission using an electric field coupling of the first electrode pair and the second electrode pair. The power reception device comprises the second electrode pair. The second electrode pair includes a plate-like third electrode and a plate-like fourth electrode which is opposite in parallel to the third electrode with the interval, and receives power transmitted from the first electrode pair by the radio power transmission.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
