PANORAMIC X-RAY IMAGING APPARATUS

To provide a panoramic X-ray imaging apparatus that can improve the resolution of a panoramic image.SOLUTION: A panoramic X-ray imaging apparatus includes: an X-ray generating unit; an X-ray detecting unit 44; a support that supports the X-ray generating unit and the X-ray detecting unit 44 so that the X-ray generating unit and the X-ray detecting unit 44 face each other; a drive mechanism that drives the support; a subject holding unit that holds an imaging subject M; and a turning control unit that controls the movement of the support by the drive mechanism so that the X-ray generating unit and the X-ray detecting unit 44 turn around a head P to perform panoramic X-ray imaging. The turning control unit can set panoramic turning orbits of X-ray detecting unit 44 for the same imaging subject M, which are a first turning orbit and a second turning orbit R2.
