Zusammenfassung:To assist in properly determining the state of a portion of an observation object of a patient by the presentation of an objective indicator.SOLUTION: A blood vessel observation system comprises: a vascular endoscope which has an imaging unit that is arranged on a tip part inserted to a blood vessel of a subject and captures a color image of the blood vessel of the subject by the imaging unit; and a processor which performs the first processing for extracting color information of a partial area of the color image and performs the second processing different from the first processing for extracting color information of at least the partial area of the color image.
