Zusammenfassung:	To provide a method for producing an aqueous dye solution of high purity.SOLUTION: This method includes the step of bringing an aqueous solution as raw material, which contains a water-soluble dye represented by a general formula (1), a dye having an iron phthalocyanine skeleton, chloride ions, and sulfate ions, into contact with an ultrafiltration membrane, to give an aqueous dye solution containing the water-soluble dye concentrated by the cross flow technique. A content (mass%) of the water-soluble dye in the aqueous dye solution is, in a mass ratio, 1.5 times or more to 1.9 times or less relative to a content (mass%) of the water-soluble dye in the aqueous solution as raw material.
