SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MEASURING AMOUNT OF SNOW AND ICE ACCRETION ON OVERHEAD TRANSMISSION LINE

To provide a system and a method for measuring an amount of snow and ice accretion on an overhead transmission line which can easily and quickly measure the amount of snow and ice accretion on the overhead transmission line.SOLUTION: A system 1 for measuring an amount of snow and ice accretion on an overhead transmission line which measures an amount of snow and ice accretion on an overhead transmission line 5 comprises: a flight body 2 which is mounted with an imaging apparatus 20; and a measuring apparatus 3 which measures the amount of snow and ice accretion on the overhead transmission line 5. The flight body 2 photographs the overhead transmission line 5 with the imaging apparatus 20 while flying and transmits data D of photographed images to the measuring apparatus 3.
