To provide an authentication device capable of suppressing authentication of a wrong individual terminal.SOLUTION: An authentication device includes: an authentication unit configured to authenticate, based on authentication information received from an individual terminal existing in an authentication area of an entrance/exit device, that the individual terminal passes through the entrance/exit device; an authentication operation detection unit configured to cause the authentication unit to perform an operation for authenticating that the individual terminal passes through the entrance/exit device, in response to detection of an authentication operation requesting authentication performed by a user possessing the individual terminal; a preliminary operation detection unit configured to detect a preliminary operation performed by the user; a terminal counting unit configured to count the number of individual terminals existing in the authentication area when the preliminary operation detection unit detects the preliminary operation; and a notification control unit configured to cause a notification device to notify users existing in the authentication area of the necessity of leaving the authentication area, if the number of individual terminals counted by the terminal counting unit is two or more when the preliminary operation detection unit detects a preliminary operation while the authentication operation detection unit has not detected any authentication operation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【課題】誤った個別端末を認証することを抑制できる認証装置を提供する。【解決手段】認証装置は、出入口装置の認証エリアに存在する個別端末から受信した認証情報に基づいて、個別端末が出入口装置を通過することを認証する認証部と、個別端末を所持する利用者が行った認証を要請する認証動作を検知した場合、認証部に個別端末が出入口装置を通過することを認証する動作を行わせる認証動作検知部と、利用者が行った予備動作を検知する予備動作検知部と、予備動作検知部が予備動作を検知した場合に、認証エリアに存在する個別端末の数を計数する端末計数部と、認証動作検知部が認証動作を検知していない状態で予備動作検知部が予備動作を検知したときに端末計数部が計数した個別端末の数が２以上である場合、認証エリアに存在する利用者に認証エリアから離れるよう報知器に報知させる報知制御部と、を備えた。【選択図】図４
