Zusammenfassung: | To estimate heating distribution of a honeycomb structure easily and at low cost and to provide manufacturing methods of the honeycomb structure and an electric heating type carrier.SOLUTION: An estimation method for heating distribution of a honeycomb structure includes: a first step of electrifying a columnar honeycomb structure part by causing a predetermined minute current to flow between an electrode layer A1 and an electrode layer B1, and measuring surface potentials at a plurality of points from the electrode layer A1 to the electrode layer B1 on an outer peripheral wall 12 and surfaces of the electrode layers; a second step of electrifying the columnar honeycomb structure part by causing a predetermined minute current to flow between an electrode layer A2 and an electrode layer B2, and measuring surface potentials at a plurality of points from the electrode layer A2 to the electrode layer B2 on the outer peripheral wall and surfaces of the electrode layers; a third step of quantizing at least one of resistance at a plurality of points in the honeycomb structure, a resistance ratio due to an electrification route, a voltage sharing rate and the surface potential of the electrode layer on the basis of the measured surface potentials at the plurality of points; and a step of estimating heating distribution in the honeycomb structure on the basis of, the value quantized in the third step.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】ハニカム構造体の発熱分布を簡易かつ安価に推定することが可能であり、また、ハニカム構造体及び電気加熱式担体の製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】電極層A1と電極層B1との間で所定の微小電流を流して柱状ハニカム構造部を通電させ、外周壁12及び電極層の表面において、電極層A1から電極層B1に渡って複数地点の表面電位を測定する第1の工程と、電極層A2と電極層B2との間で所定の微小電流を流して柱状ハニカム構造部を通電させ、外周壁及び電極層の表面において、電極層A2から電極層B2に渡って複数地点の表面電位を測定する第2の工程と、測定された複数地点の表面電位に基づいて、ハニカム構造体内の複数箇所での抵抗、通電経路による抵抗比率、電圧分担率、及び電極層の表面電位、の少なくとも1つを定量化する第3の工程と、第3の工程で定量化した値に基づきハニカム構造体内の発熱分布を推定する工程とを含む。【選択図】図2 |
