METHOD FOR PRODUCING RESIN PELLET CONTAINING REINFORCING FIBER

To provide a method for producing a resin pellet containing reinforcing fibers, which has an excellent productivity and excellent mechanical property equivalent to a long fiber reinforced resin pellet.SOLUTION: A method for producing a resin pellet containing reinforcing fibers, uses: a twin-screw extruder 1 that includes a first kneading unit 5, and a second kneading unit 6 that is provided at a side closer to an outlet than the first kneading unit 5 and has a reverse feed screw element having a notch and/or a kneading disk including a reverse feed; and a die 2 equipped with a nozzle 9, provided at an outlet of the twin-screw extruder 1. The method comprises the steps of: melt-kneading a resin in the first kneading unit 5; supplying reinforcing fibers into the twin-screw extruder 1 from a side closer to an outlet than the first kneading unit 5 and a side closer to an inlet than the second kneading unit 6, and further melt-kneading the resin in the presence of the reinforcing fibers; and extruding a melted and kneaded resin containing the reinforcing fibers from an outlet of the nozzle 9 of the die 2 as a strand of the reinforcing fiber-containing resin, in which the nozzle 9 satisfies predetermined requirements.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】生産性に優れ、長繊維強化樹脂ペレットと同等の優れた機械的物性を有する強化繊維含有樹脂ペレットの製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】強化繊維含有樹脂ペレットの製造方法は、第一混練部５、および第一混練部５よりも出口側に設けられた、切欠きを有する逆送りスクリューエレメント、および／または、逆送りを含むニーディングディスクを備える第二混練部６を有する二軸押出機１と、二軸押出機１の出口に設けられた、ノズル９を備えるダイス２とを用い、第一混練部５で樹脂を溶融混練する工程と、強化繊維を第一混練部５よりも出口側、かつ第二混練部６よりも入口側から二軸押出機１内に供給し、強化繊維の存在下でさらに樹脂を溶融混練する工程と、ダイス２のノズル９出口から溶融混練された強化繊維を含む樹脂を、強化繊維含有樹脂のストランドとして押出する工程とを備え、ノズル９が特定の条件を満たす。【選択図】図１
