Zusammenfassung:To provide a spark plug for internal combustion engine capable of improving ignitability, and an internal combustion engine with the same.SOLUTION: In a spark plug 1 for internal combustion engine, a plug cover 5 is provided in a tip of a housing 2 so as to cover a sub combustion chamber 50 where a discharge gap G is disposed. An injection hole 51 communicating between the sub combustion chamber 50 with the outside is formed in the plug cover 5. A screw part 21 whose nominal diameter is equal to or less than M14 is formed in an outer periphery of the housing 2. A distance from a tip of an insulator 3 in a plug axial direction Z to a tip of the sub combustion chamber 50 is defined as A. Between a maximum diameter of a part of the sub combustion chamber 50 whose outer peripheral side is covered by an inner peripheral surface 22 of the housing 2 and a maximum diameter of a part of the sub combustion chamber 50 whose outer peripheral side is covered by an inner peripheral surface 52 of the plug cover 5, a smaller maximum diameter is defined as B.
