RELEASE FILM

To provide a release film having heat resistance and releasability the same as a conventional release film, capable of fine processing of a molded body, less in film residue to the molded body at the time of release, and excellent in visibility when adhered to the molded body.SOLUTION: A single layer or multilayer release film having a layer composed of a composition (X) containing 60 to 95 mass% of a 4-methyl-1-pentene (MP) (co)polymer (A) satisfying (A-a to c) and 5 to 40 mass% of a MP copolymer (B) satisfying (B-a to c) and total light transmittance 80% or less. (A-a) a structural unit (P) derived from MP of 90 to 100 mol%. (A-b) limiting viscosity [η] of 0.5 to 5.0 dl/g. (A-c)a melting point (Tm) of 200 to 250°C. (B-a) a structural unit (P) derived from MP of 65 to 97 mol%. (B-b) limiting viscosity [η] of 0.5 to 5.0 dl/g.
