To provide a staircase in which a stringer board can be easily engaged with a fixture.SOLUTION: A staircase includes a stringer board extending diagonally between the upper and lower floors of the frame, a fixture for fixing the upper end in the longitudinal direction of the stringer board to a vertically extending surface of the frame, and a tread supported by the stringer board. The longitudinal upper end surface of the stringer board is parallel to the surface of the frame. The fixture includes a surface fixing piece fixed to the surface with one surface facing the surface of the frame, a stringer fixing piece that protrudes vertically from the surface fixing piece and is fixed to the one side surface with one surface facing the one side surface of the stringer board, and an insertion portion protruding from the surface fixing piece toward the side where the stringer fixing piece protrudes, and having an arc-shaped portion at the tip thereof.
