Zusammenfassung:To provide a rubber composition for a fender capable of manufacturing a fender whose support legs are easily buckled and deformed when a ship or the like comes alongside, at a lower cost, and to provide a fender using the same.SOLUTION: A rubber composition for a fender comprises rubber, carbon black, and a cross-linking component for cross-linking the rubber. The maximum loss tangent (tanδ) of a cross-linked product of the rubber composition at a temperature of -70 to 70°C, determined by a measurement method specified in Japanese Industrial Standard JIS K6394: 2007, is set to 0.48 or more. The fender includes at least a bearing leg made of the rubber composition for fenders.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】船舶等の接舷によって支承脚部が座屈変形しやすい防舷材を、よりコスト安価に製造できる防舷材用ゴム組成物と、それを用いた防舷材を提供する。【解決手段】防舷材用ゴム組成物は、ゴム、カーボンブラック、およびゴムを架橋させるための架橋成分を配合して、日本産業規格JIS K6394:2007において規定された測定方法によって求められる、架橋物の、温度-70~70℃での損失正接(tanδ)の最大値を0.48以上とした。防舷材は、上記防舷材用ゴム組成物からなる支承脚部を少なくとも含む。【選択図】図1
