Zusammenfassung:To suppress spread of sparks, odors, dusts and so on.SOLUTION: A reinforcement method for reinforcing a steel material 2 with a plate material 3 has: an insertion hole formation process in which an insertion hole 3a having an inlet part 3c for insertion of a bit 4 (friction pressure-welding junction member) and a deep part 3d narrowing from the inlet part to the back is formed in the plate material; a spacer foundation installation process in which s space foundation 6', which is provided on a friction pressure-welding joint space W side of the plate material and becomes a spacer 6 pinched by the steel material and the plate material, is installed on the plate material; a spacer hole formation process in which a spacer hole 6a for insertion of the bit is formed in the spacer foundation; a plate material attachment process in which the plate material is attached to the steel material so as to form the friction pressure-welding joint space between the steel material and the plate material; a friction pressure-welding joining process in which the bit is inserted in the insertion hole and the spacer hole and is friction pressure-welding joined while holding the bit toward a steel material side by a holding member 5; and a separation process in which the holding member is separated from the bit after the friction pressure-welding joining process.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】火花、臭気、粉塵等の拡散を抑制することである。【解決手段】鋼材2を板材3で補強する補強方法であって、ビット4(摩擦圧接接合部材)を挿入するための入口部3cと入口部から奥へ向かって狭まる奥部3dとを有する挿入孔3aを、板材に形成する挿入孔形成工程と、板材の摩擦圧接接合空間W側に設けられ鋼材と板材に挟設されるスペーサー6となるスペーサー下地6'を、板材に設置するスペーサー下地設置工程と、ビットを挿通させるためのスペーサー孔6aをスペーサー下地に形成するスペーサー孔形成工程と、鋼材と板材との間に摩擦圧接接合空間が形成されるように鋼材に板材を添設する板材添設工程と、保持部材5でビットを鋼材側に向けて保持しつつ、ビットを挿入孔及びスペーサー孔に挿入して摩擦圧接接合する摩擦圧接接合工程と、摩擦圧接接合工程の後に、保持部材をビットと切り離す切り離し工程と、を有することを特徴とする。【選択図】図2
