AIRBAG DEVICE FOR FRONT PASSENGER SEAT

To provide an airbag device for a front passenger seat that can disperse a load acting on a rib at the time of a vehicle collision.SOLUTION: An airbag device 10 for a front passenger seat includes: a main bag 22 that inflates and expands to restrain a passenger P wearing a three-point type seat belt 42 on a front passenger seat 12, at a front side of a vehicle of the passenger P, at the time of a vehicle collision or at the time of predicting a vehicle collision; and a sub bag 24 that is protruded to a rear side of the vehicle more than a rear end part of the main bag 22 when inflating and expanding, in an area corresponding to a lower part of a rib of the passenger P near buckle 44 in the three-point type seat belt 42.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】車両衝突時における肋骨への負荷荷重を分散させることができる助手席用エアバッグ装置を得る。【解決手段】助手席用エアバッグ装置１０は、助手席１２の３点式シートベルト４２を装着した乗員Ｐの車両前方側で車両衝突時又は車両衝突予知時に膨張展開し、乗員Ｐを拘束するメインバッグ２２と、３点式シートベルト４２におけるバックル４４側の乗員Ｐの肋骨下部に対応する領域において、膨張展開時にメインバッグ２２の後端部よりも車両後方側へ突出されるサブバッグ２４と、を含む。【選択図】図１
