BRANCH PORTION PROTECTION STRUCTURE, AND WIRE HARNESS

To provide branch portion protection structure capable of protecting a branch portion, with simple structure.SOLUTION: Branch portion protection structure 1 is provided for a wire harness 10 having a branch portion 13 in which a branch line 12 branches from a main line 11 extending in a longitudinal direction L and extends in a cross direction W crossing the longitudinal direction L. The branch portion protection structure 1 comprises: a pair of cylindrical main exterior bodies 20, 20 into which both sides in the longitudinal direction L, of the branch portion 13 of the main line 11 are respectively inserted; and a branch portion exterior body 40 (a first branch portion exterior body 50 and a second branch portion exterior body 60) extrapolated to the branch portion 13 between the pair of main exterior bodies 20, 20, the first branch exterior body 50 and the second branch exterior body 60 have a shape similar to a part of the cylindrical cross section of the main exterior bodies 20, 20, and both ends in the longitudinal direction L, of the branch exterior body 40 (the first branch exterior body 50 and the second branch exterior body 60) overlap for a predetermined length in the longitudinal direction L, the end portions of the main exterior bodies 20, 20 arranged on both sides in the longitudinal direction L, of the branch portion 13 L.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】簡易な構造で分岐部を保護することができる分岐部保護構造を提供すること。【解決手段】分岐部保護構造１は、長手方向Ｌに延びる幹線１１から分岐して枝線１２が長手方向Ｌに交差する交差方向Ｗに延びる分岐部１３を有するワイヤーハーネス１０において、幹線１１における分岐部１３の長手方向Ｌの両側のそれぞれを内部に挿通する筒状の一対のメイン外装体２０，２０と、一対のメイン外装体２０，２０同士の間の分岐部１３に外装する分岐部外装体４０（第１分岐部外装体５０及び第２分岐部外装体６０）とが備えられ、第１分岐部外装体５０及び第２分岐部外装体６０は、メイン外装体２０，２０の筒状断面における一部分と相似形状であり、分岐部外装体４０（第１分岐部外装体５０及び第２分岐部外装体６０）の長手方向Ｌの両端部は、分岐部１３の長手方向Ｌの両側に配置されたメイン外装体２０，２０の端部と、長手方向Ｌの所定長さで重なり合う。【選択図】図１
