Zusammenfassung:To control ore terrace length in a proper range, achieving the stable operation of a blast furnace.SOLUTION: In a blast furnace operation method, an ore layer and a coke layer are alternately and laminarly formed in a furnace, and the deposition shape at the furnace top is inclined downward to the furnace center. A length evaluation value for evaluating the ore terrace length of the ore layer formed in the furnace is acquired for each of a plurality of furnace radial directions.
