Zusammenfassung: | To safely perform construction by enhancing a strength against a horizontal external force acting on a building under construction while facilitating the construction of seismic isolation work.SOLUTION: There is provided a seismic isolation method in which a seismic isolation device is provided between an upper structure and a lower structure. The upper structure has: an upper horizontal portion; a first upper protruding portion that protrudes downward from the upper horizontal portion and is arranged at an interval in a first direction; and a second upper protruding portion. The lower structure has: a lower horizontal portion; a first lower protruding portion that protrudes upward from the lower horizontal portion and is arranged at an interval in the first direction; and a second lower protruding portion. Between the first upper protruding portion and the second upper protruding portion, and between the first lower protruding portion and the second lower protruding portion, there is provided a horizontal competition member installation step of installing a horizontal competition member that opposes a horizontal force in the first direction along the first direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
