To provide an article management system that can automatically recognize each divided space when the storage space is divided by a partition member.SOLUTION: An article management system 1 of the invention includes: a detection device 100 which includes a pressure-sensitive sensor 110 which is arranged in a mounting part on which articles are placed and detects a two-dimensional pressure distribution, and outputs pressure information (pressure data) indicating the detected pressure distribution; and a management device 200 that identifies an article stored in a storage space based on the pressure information output from the detection device 100.
