To provide an image forming device which can suppress dissipation of heat from a drying member to a rear surface side of a recording medium, and can suppress occurrence of drying failure of an ink image.SOLUTION: An image forming device 1 includes a conveyance unit 10, an image forming part 20, a drying member 30, and a rear surface proximity member 40. The drying member 30 forms a heated area HA on a recording medium M by heating the recording medium M. The rear surface proximity member 40 has an upstream end part 41 formed on an end part on an upstream side in a conveyance direction.
