Zusammenfassung:To appropriately execute adaptive cruise control according to a situation of poor visibility.SOLUTION: A vehicle control system according to the present invention includes: an external information acquisition device capable of acquiring the presence of a preceding vehicle and an inter-vehicle distance; a vehicle speed acquisition device capable of acquiring a travel speed of an own vehicle; and a control device capable of executing adaptive cruise control of the own vehicle. The control device is capable of calculating a poor visibility degree for evaluating poor visibility in front of the own vehicle.
