Zusammenfassung:To provide a technique capable of preventing mist leakage from the inside of a device body of a recording device with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A recording device 1 includes a recording part 12 for recording an image on a recording material by discharging a liquid onto the recording material, a case 8 forming a bottom part of a housing storing the recording part 12, and covers 6 and 7 forming the side wall of the housing which has handhold parts 6t and 7t gripped at the time of conveyance of the device at positions adjacent to the case 8, wherein the case 8 has boundary wall surfaces 8a1 and 8a2 extending in a direction parallel to the side wall toward the inside the housing, the covers 6 and 7 have contact parts 6a and 7a contacting the boundary wall surfaces 8a1 and 8a2 of the case 8 in the vicinity of the handhold parts 6t and 7t, and the inside and the outside of the housing are partitioned by contacting the contact parts 6a and 7a and the boundary wall surfaces 8a1 and 8a2 in a direction crossing the direction at which a housing side wall is formed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7 【課題】簡素な構成により、記録装置の装置本体内部からのミスト漏れを防ぐことができる技術を提供する。【解決手段】記録材に液体を吐出することで記録材に画像を記録する記録部12と、記録部12が収容される筐体の底部を形成するケース8と、筐体の側壁を形成するカバー6、7であって、装置の運搬時に把持される手掛かり部6t、7tを、ケース8に隣接する位置に有するカバー6、7と、を備える記録装置1において、ケース8は、筐体の内部に向かって側壁と平行な方向に延びる境界壁面8a1、8a2を有し、カバー6、7は、手掛かり部6t、7tの近傍に、ケース8の境界壁面8a1、8a2に当接する当接部6a、7aを有し、筐体側壁が形成される方向と交差する方向において、当接部6a、7aと境界壁面8a1、8a2とが当接することで筐体の内部と外部を区画する。【選択図】図7
