Zusammenfassung:To provide a method of manufacturing a light guide body in which an optical fiber can be smoothly inserted into a sleeve.SOLUTION: There is provided a method of manufacturing a light guide body 30 comprising an optical fiber bundle 51 of a plurality of optical fiber threads 50 and a cylindrical sleeve 40 into which the optical fiber bundle 51 is inserted, and the method includes: a sticking process of sticking liquid on an end part 52 of the optical fiber bundle 51 to form a sticking part 53; a shrinking process of inserting the sticking part 53 into a heat-shrinkable tube 60, and heating and causing the heat shrinkable tube 60 to shrink to form a shrinkage part 54 at the end part 52 of the optical fiber bundle 51 ; a sleeve inserting process of removing the heat-shrinkable tube 60 from the end part 52 of the optical fiber bundle 51 and inserting the shrinkage part 54 into the sleeve 40; and a fixing process of pressing and fixing the sleeve 40 to the optical fiber bundle 51.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10 【課題】光ファイバーをスリーブにスムーズに挿入できる導光体の製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】複数の光ファイバー糸50からなる光ファイバー束51と光ファイバー束51が挿入された円筒状のスリーブ40とを備える導光体30の製造方法であって、光ファイバー束51の端部52に液体を付着させて付着部53を作製する付着工程と、付着部53を熱収縮チューブ60に挿入し、熱収縮チューブ60を加熱して収縮させることで、光ファイバー束51の端部52に収縮部54を作製する収縮工程と、熱収縮チューブ60を光ファイバー束51の端部52から外し、収縮部54をスリーブ40に挿入するスリーブ挿入工程と、スリーブ40を加圧して光ファイバー束51に固定する固定工程と、を含むこと。【選択図】図10
