Zusammenfassung: | To provide a stereo image processing device which can calculate parallax information with the high reliability by improving the appropriateness of selection of a region when calculating the parallax information with the high resolution in comparison to other portions for a portion of a photographed image with the high resolution.SOLUTION: A stereo image processing device for calculating a distance between a vehicle and an obstacle outside the vehicle comprises: a photographed image memory 22 which stores photographed images consecutively captured by a plurality of cameras for the outside of the vehicle; a region evaluation unit 25 which determines an evaluation value for each region on the photographed image on the basis of at least one of steering angle information and vehicle speed information of the vehicle; and a parallax calculation unit 26 which calculates a parallax with a high pixel for the region whose evaluation value determined by the region evaluation unit 25 is relatively high for the plurality of latest images captured by the plurality of cameras 10, and calculates the parallax with a low pixel for the region whose evaluation value determined by the region evaluation unit 25 is relatively low.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】高解像度の撮影画像の一部について他の部分に比べて高解像度で視差情報を計算するに当たって領域の選択の妥当性の向上により高信頼性の視差情報を計算することができるステレオ画像処理装置を提供する。【解決手段】自動車と自動車の外界の障害物との距離を計算するステレオ画像処理装置において、自動車の外界について複数のカメラで連続的に撮影される撮影画像を保存する撮影画像メモリ22と、自動車の操舵角情報及び車速情報の少なくとも一方を基に撮影画像上の領域毎の評価値を決定する領域評価部25と、複数のカメラ10でそれぞれ撮影された複数の最新画像について、領域評価部25で決定された評価値が相対的に高い領域について高画素で視差計算し、領域評価部25で決定された評価値が相対的に低い領域について低画素で視差計算する視差計算部26とを備える。【選択図】図1 |
