STIRRER AND STIRRING METHOD

To provide a stirrer and a stirring method capable of adequately stirring and mixing a stirring object having a high viscosity or a stirring object in which solids floating on a liquid surface are contained.SOLUTION: A stirrer 1 includes a stirring tank 11 which is laterally mounted with a lateral surface and has an approximately columnar whole shape, a rotation shaft 12 which is elongated in a center axis direction of a longitudinal direction in an internal part of the stirring tank 11 and rotatably pivotally-supported, and at least one stirring member 13 which is supported by the rotation shaft 12 and is rotated around a shaft core of the rotation shaft 12. Therein, the stirring member 13 has a support 13a whose one side end is connected to the rotation shaft 12 and the other end is elongated to a direction separated from the rotation shaft 12, and a stirring paddle 13b which is provided on the other side end of the support 13a and can scrape up a stirring object of solid, and the stirring paddle 13b has a stirring face which gets to parallel to an elongated direction of the rotation shaft 12, and an area of the stirring face falls in the range of 4 to 45% with respect to the maximum cross-section area of a cross-section which passes through a center shaft in the longitudinal direction of the stirring tank 11.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】高粘度の撹拌対象物や液面を浮遊する固体が含まれる撹拌対象物に対し、十分に撹拌して混合させることが可能な撹拌装置及び撹拌方法を提供する。【解決手段】本発明の撹拌装置１は、側面で横置きに載置され、全体形状が略柱体状の撹拌槽１１と、撹拌槽１１の内部に於いて長手方向の中心軸方向に延在し、回転可能に軸支された回転軸１２と、回転軸１２に支持され、回転軸１２の軸芯回りに回転する少なくとも１つの撹拌部材１３とを備え、撹拌部材１３は、一方端が回転軸１２に接続され、他方端が回転軸１２から離れる方向に延在する支柱１３ａと、支柱１３ａの他方端に設けられ、固体の撹拌対象物を掻き揚げることが可能な撹拌パドル１３ｂとを有しており、撹拌パドル１３ｂは回転軸１２の延在方向に平行となる撹拌面を有し、撹拌面の面積は撹拌槽１１に於ける長手方向の中心軸を通る断面の最大断面積に対し４～４５％の範囲である。【選択図】 図１
