Zusammenfassung:To provide a damping building capable of exhibiting high damping performance.SOLUTION: A damping building 1 is provided with a multi-story seismic wall 31X (31Y), including an adjacent column 32 provided adjacent to the multi-story seismic wall 31X (31Y) in the same plane as the multi-story seismic wall 31X (31Y), and a beam 40X (40Y) that is joined to the multi-story seismic wall 31X (31Y), extends beyond the adjacent column 32, and is fixed on the opposite side of the multi-story seismic wall 31X (31Y) with the adjacent column 32 interposed therebetween. The beam 40X (40Y) is provided so as to penetrate the adjacent column 32.
