Zusammenfassung: | To provide a carbon material-containing conductive auxiliary agent capable of improving the characteristics of various batteries, particularly lithium ion batteries, and a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: A method for producing a conductive auxiliary agent includes a step of baking a nitrogen-coordinated metal complex or a porous metal complex at a temperature of 700 to 1200°C in a non-oxidizing atmosphere to make a carbon material. Also provided is a method for producing slurry for coating lithium ion battery electrodes and a method for producing electrodes for lithium ion batteries, which include the above step. Moreover, a conductive auxiliary agent is provided containing a carbon material having a nitrogen content of 0.1 to 30.0 mass% and a specific surface area of 180 m2/g to 800 m2/g.SELECTED DRAWING: None
