Zusammenfassung:To provide: a railway vehicle power storage device which is small-sized and light-weighted, and has an easy maintainability, a high reliability structure and a good cooling performance; and a cooling method for the device.SOLUTION: A power storage device 1 for a railway vehicle has a housing 10 accommodating one or more storage batteries in an airtight state and an electronic cooler 18 which discharges low temperature air into the housing 10. As an inner space in the housing 10 is sealed, dust invasion from an outer air can be prevented. Further, as the electronic cooler 18 is arranged in the housing 10, cold air can be supplied while airtightness in the inner space is being kept, thereby, cooling efficiency can be improved while a reliability is maintained.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】小型軽量で、メンテナンス性が良く、信頼性の高い構造で、冷却性能の良い鉄道車両用の蓄電装置及びその冷却方法を提供する。【解決手段】鉄道車両用の蓄電装置1は、1つもしくは複数の蓄電池を密閉した状態で収容する筐体10と、前記筐体10内に低温空気を吐き出す電子クーラ18とを備える。筐体10内は密閉されているため、外気からの塵埃の侵入を防ぐことができる。また、電子クーラ18を筐体10内に配置することにより、内部空間の密閉を保ったまま低温空気を供給することができ、信頼性を保ったまま冷却効率を向上することができる。【選択図】図2
