Zusammenfassung:To provide a fishing device capable of reducing the number of re-throwing of a fishhook.SOLUTION: A fishing device 100 for automatically performing fishing comprises: a drive unit 22 capable of rotating and driving a rod 10, to which a hook is attached via a fishing line, at least in a plane approximately perpendicular to a water surface by taking a terminal of the rod 10 as a fulcrum; and a control unit 30 for controlling the drive unit 22. The control unit 30 controls the drive unit 22 so that a throwing operation of throwing the hook into water by rotating the rod 10 in the approximately perpendicular plane, a longitudinal invitation operation of rotating the rod 10 in the approximately perpendicular plane and making the hook thrown in water gradually approach to a ship's side 1S, a longitudinal gathering operation of rotating the rod 10 in the approximately perpendicular plane when fish is caught by the hook and making the fish approach to the ship's side 1S, and a lifting operation of rotating the rod 10 in the approximately perpendicular plane and lifting the fish on the ship 1 are performed.
