YARN WINDING DEVICE

To provide a yarn winding device which requires connection of a first yarn and a second yarn by an operator which facilitates a preparation work before connecting the first yarn and the second yarn.SOLUTION: A winding unit 2 includes: a tension application device 31 for applying a tension to a yarn Y; a holding part 32c for holding a first yarn Y1 when the yarn Y is parted to the first yarn Y1 and a second yarn Y2 in a yarn travelling direction; an arm driving motor 32d for moving the holding part 32c between a first position capable of capturing the first yarn Y1 and a second position capable of hooking the first yarn Y1 to the tension application device 31; and a unit control part 15.
