Zusammenfassung:To provide a communication quality estimation device and a communication quality estimation method, capable of accurately estimating quality of communication that uses an error correction code.SOLUTION: A communication quality estimation device includes a measurement value acquisition section, a determination section and an estimation section, and estimates an error rate of signals after an error correction is performed, the signals being transmitted using an error correction code that can correct K errors. The measurement value acquisition section acquires a frequency measurement value indicating a frequency at which a codeword including m errors is received. The determination section determines a transition probability and a continuation probability, respectively, which are included in each of a plurality of formulae, such that a frequency calculation value that is calculated using the plurality of formulae and indicates a frequency at which a codeword including m errors is received is brought close to the frequency measurement value, the plurality of formulae including a transition probability that a normal state transitions to an error state and a continuation probability that the error state continues, respectively. The estimation section calculates a frequency at which a codeword including more than K errors is received, by using the plurality of formulae each with the transition probability and the determined continuation probability determined by the determination section, and estimates, on the basis of, a result of the calculation, an error rate after an error correction is performed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】誤り訂正符号を使用する通信の品質を精度よく推定する。【解決手段】通信品質推定装置は、測定値取得部、決定部、および推定部を備え、K個の誤りを訂正可能な誤り訂正符号を使用して伝送される信号の誤り訂正処理後の誤り率を推定する。測定値取得部は、m個の誤りを含む符号語を受信する頻度を表す頻度測定値を取得する。決定部は、正常状態から誤り状態に遷移する遷移確率および誤り状態が継続する継続確率をそれぞれ含む複数の計算式を用いて計算される、m個の誤りを含む符号語を受信する頻度を表す頻度計算値が頻度測定値に近づくように、各計算式に含まれる遷移確率および継続確率をそれぞれ決定する。推定部は、決定部により決定された遷移確率および継続確率がそれぞれ設定された複数の計算式を用いて、K個より多い誤りを含む符号語を受信する頻度を計算し、その計算結果に基づいて誤り訂正処理後の誤り率を推定する。【選択図】図2
