Zusammenfassung: | To provide an electrochemical hydrogen pump capable of improving efficiency of hydrogen compression operation when the user starts the first use.SOLUTION: An electrochemical hydrogen pump 100 is provided with an electrolyte membrane 22 having a pair of main surfaces, a cathode catalyst layer 24 provided on one main surface of the electrolyte membrane, an anode catalyst layer 23 provided on the other main surface of the electrolyte membrane, and a voltage applicator 21 for applying a voltage between the cathode catalyst layer and the anode catalyst layer. By applying the voltage by the voltage applicator, hydrogen in a hydrogen-containing gas supplied on the anode catalyst layer is moved onto the cathode catalyst layer and the pressure is boosted. Before the user starts the first use, irregularity 200, 201 of the cross-sectional shape is larger in the anode catalyst layer than in the cathode catalyst layer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
【課題】最初の利用を開始する際に水素圧縮動作の効率を向上し得る電気化学式水素ポンプを提供する。【解決手段】電気化学式水素ポンプ100は、一対の主面を備える電解質膜22と、電解質膜の一方の主面に設けられたカソード触媒層24と、電解質膜の他方の主面に設けられアノード触媒層23と、カソード触媒層およびアノード触媒層の間に電圧を印加する電圧印加器21と、を備え、電圧印加器が上記の電圧を印加することで、アノード触媒層上に供給された水素含有ガス中の水素を、カソード触媒層上に移動させ、かつ昇圧する。使用者が最初の利用を開始する前に、カソード触媒層よりもアノード触媒層の方が、断面形状の凹凸200,201が大きい。【選択図】図4 |
