CONTROL APPARATUS FOR VEHICLE OPENING/CLOSING BODY

To provide a control apparatus for a vehicle opening/closing body that surely prevents touching of the opening/closing body to a user and reduces waiting time required for the opening/closing body to open/close.SOLUTION: A control apparatus for vehicle opening/closing body for controlling a sliding door-type opening/closing body for opening/closing an opening formed on a vehicle body 1, includes: driving means 40 for driving opening/closing of the opening/closing body; lateral motion detection means SN2 for detecting a prescribed motion of a user performed at a position corresponding to a side of the opening/closing body when the opening/closing body is seen from front in a closed state and outside of an opening/closing trajectory of the opening/closing body; opening/closing operation detection means for detecting a motion of the user for opening/closing the opening/closing body other than the prescribed motion; and control means for controlling the driving means.
