Zusammenfassung:To correct a positional deviation between an illumination range and an imaging visual field due to an assembling error of a unit and manufacturing variations in members with an inexpensive constitution.SOLUTION: A paper sheet processing device includes a conveyance unit conveying a paper sheet coated with a fluorescent substance, a light source irradiating the paper sheet conveyed by the conveyance unit with light, a line sensor in which image elements for detecting reflected light of the paper sheet are linearly arranged, a slit configured such that a calibration medium uniformly coated with the fluorescent substance, which is conveyed by the conveyance unit, can be irradiated with light of the light source so as to intersect with an alignment direction of the image elements of the line sensor, and a control unit by which the calibration medium is conveyed by the conveyance unit instead of the paper sheet, light is emitted from the light source through the slit, the reflected light from the calibration medium is captured by the line sensor, and the deviation amount of the captured image is detected based on a bright line position of the captured image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】ユニットの組み立て誤差、及び部材の製造ばらつきによる照明範囲と撮像視野との位置関係のズレを安価な構成で補正すること。【解決手段】紙葉類処理装置は、蛍光体が塗布された紙葉類を搬送する搬送部と、搬送部で搬送される紙葉類に光を照射する光源と、紙葉類の反射光を検出する画像素子を直線状に配置したラインセンサと、搬送部により搬送される一様に蛍光体を塗布した校正媒体に、光源の光がラインセンサの画像素子の並び方向に対して交差するように照射可能に構成されるスリットと、校正媒体を紙葉類に代えて搬送部により搬送し、スリットを介して光源から光を照射し、校正媒体からの反射光をラインセンサで撮像し、当該撮像した撮像の輝線位置に基づいて、撮像した画像のズレ量を検出する制御部と、を備える。【選択図】図1
