Zusammenfassung:To provide a bill processing device capable of suppressing the reduction in processing efficiency.SOLUTION: A control part acquires a reel rewinding time until drum position detection means 191 detects that a drum 31 is located at a second drum position while a reel 101 is rotated in a tape winding direction at a fixed rotation speed after the drum 31 is rotated for a predetermined time in a bill storing direction at a fixed rotation speed from a first drum position detected by drum position detection means 191. The control part estimates an accumulated winding length with reference to a contrast table of a previously created reel rewinding time and an accumulated winding length based on the reel rewinding time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 【課題】処理効率の低下を抑制することが可能となる紙幣処理装置を提供する。【解決手段】制御部は、ドラム３１をドラム位置検出手段１９１により検出される第１のドラム位置から固定の回転速度で紙幣収納方向へ所定時間回転させた後、リール１０１を固定の回転速度でテープ巻取方向へ回転させると共にドラム３１が第２のドラム位置に位置したことをドラム位置検出手段１９１により検出するまでのリール巻戻時間を取得し、このリール巻戻時間に基づいて、予め作成されたリール巻戻時間と累積巻取長さとの対比テーブルを参照し、累積巻取長さを推定する。【選択図】図６
