Zusammenfassung:To provide a device and method for evaluating grinding burn of a metal component, capable of accurately evaluating grinding burn generated on a surface of the metal component subjected to grinding.SOLUTION: In a grinding burn evaluation section 38 (a grinding burn evaluation step), grinding burn of a metal component 14 is evaluated based on comparison of an average value HWav of a half width HW of intensity profile of diffracted X-rays for each angle Ψ calculated by a half width average value calculation section 36 (a half width average value calculation step) with a preset grinding burn determination threshold value TH, so that grinding burn generated on a surface 16 of the metal component 14 subjected to grinding can be accurately evaluated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】研削加工された金属部品の表面に発生する研削焼けを正確に評価することができる金属部品の研削焼け評価装置および評価方法を提供する。【解決手段】研削焼け評価部38(研削焼け評価工程)において、半価幅平均値算出部36(半価幅平均値算出工程)により算出された角度Ψ毎の回折X線の強度プロファイルの半価幅HWの平均値HWavと、予め設定された研削焼け判定閾値THとの比較に基づいて金属部品14の研削焼けが評価されるので、研削加工された金属部品14の表面16に発生する研削焼けを正確に評価することができる。【選択図】図1
