METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING GLASS ARTICLE

To provide a method for manufacturing a glass article using the Danner method, capable of preventing deterioration in the quality of a glass article caused by a space between the upper wall of a molding room and a supply nozzle for supplying molten glass to the molding room.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a glass article using a Danner system glass manufacturing apparatus comprises: a molding step of molding tube glass or rod-like glass by winding molten glass dropped from a supply nozzle 11a inserted into a supply port provided in the upper wall of a molding room A1 around a rotating sleeve and withdrawing the molten glass from the tip of the sleeve to the outside; and a sealing step of sealing, before the molding step, an outflow path R of gas passing between the supply port and the supply nozzle 11a to flow outside of the molding room A1 on the basis of the expansions of the supply nozzle 11a and upper wall involved in the temperature rise of the molding room A1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】ダンナー法を用いたガラス物品の製造方法に関して、成形室の上壁と、成形室に溶融ガラスを供給する供給ノズルとの間の隙間に起因するガラス物品の品質の低下を抑制する。【解決手段】ダンナー方式のガラス製造装置を用い、成形室Ａ１の上壁に設けられた供給口に挿入された供給ノズル１１ａから流下する溶融ガラスを、回転するスリーブに巻き付けて、スリーブの先端部から外部へ引き出すことにより管ガラス又は棒状ガラスを成形する成形工程を備えるガラス製造方法は、成形工程の前に、供給口と供給ノズル１１ａとの間を通過して成形室Ａ１の外部へと流出する気体の流出路Ｒを、成形室Ａ１の温度上昇に伴う供給ノズル１１ａ及び上壁の膨張に基づいて封止する封止工程を備えている。【選択図】図２
