Zusammenfassung:To provide glass and glass articles having a high UV transmission, advantageous properties in terms of demixing and good joining properties on fusion.SOLUTION: A glass article is composed of a glass having a demixing factor in terms of its hydrolytic resistance in a range from 0.10 to 1.65. The glass article has an induced extinction α(λ) of at most 0.300, at 200 nm after irradiation with a deuterium lamp for 48 hours and/or 96 hours.
