To provide a liquid developer that is small in particle diameter, low in viscosity, low in adhesive force of toner, and excellent in document offset resistance property.SOLUTION: A liquid developer contains: a toner particle that contains binder resin and a coloring agent; and an insulating liquid. The binder resin contains: an alcohol component, polyester-based resin H and polyester-based resin L serving as a polycondensation product of a carboxylic acid component containing an acid modification product A of a polymer of α-olefin having 3 to 18 carbon atoms. A content of the acid modification product A in the polyester-based resin H is equal to or more than 30 pts.mass and equal to or less than 65 pts.mass relative to a total of 100 pts.mass of the alcohol component and a carboxylic acid component other than the acid modification product A, and a content of the acid modification product A in the polyester-based resin L is equal to or more than 5 pts.mass and equal to or less than 20 pts.mass relative to a total of 100 pts.mass of the alcohol component and the carboxylic acid component other than the acid modification product A.SELECTED DRAWING: None 【課題】小粒径、低粘度でトナーの付着力が低く、かつ耐ドキュメントオフセット性に優れる液体現像剤に関すること。【解決手段】結着樹脂及び着色剤を含有するトナー粒子と、絶縁性液体とを含有する液体現像剤であって、前記結着樹脂が、アルコール成分と、炭素数3以上18以下のα－オレフィンの重合体の酸変性物Ａを含むカルボン酸成分との重縮合物である、ポリエステル系樹脂Ｈとポリエステル系樹脂Ｌを含有し、該ポリエステル系樹脂Ｈにおける酸変性物Ａの含有量が、アルコール成分と酸変性物Ａ以外のカルボン酸成分の合計量100質量部に対して、30質量部以上65質量部以下であり、該ポリエステル系樹脂Ｌにおける酸変性物Ａの含有量が、アルコール成分と酸変性物Ａ以外のカルボン酸成分の合計量100質量部に対して、5質量部以上20質量部以下である、液体現像剤。【選択図】なし
